Echad Project

Echad Online Community

Communications is key to building echad. We are told in Hebrews 10:25 to forsake not the assembly. We do not believe that this is simply direction to attend a service or teaching once each week. We believe that this means we are to build strong social networks within the Body. Certainly we are to be fishers of men and win souls to Messiah. However, if we take the example of the early emissaries who went out to spread the Good News, we find that they always had a close network of fellow believers who prayed for them, supported them, and just simply were their loving friends. Messiah gathered to himself a group of twelve very close friends who we see staying with Him throughout most of His Ministry on Earth. One of the requests that Messiah made of us is that we feed His sheep (John 21:15-17). His sheep are those who are called by His Name, and the flock includes those who are yet to be called, those who have been recently called, and those who have been walking with Him for some time. The entire flock is to be fed. So, it is the call of the Echad Project to work in that effort to feed His flock.

The Echad Project is, at its very core, about building a deeply meaningful social network of fellow believers so that we can, as we are commanded, truly love each other. To facilitate building of such deep relationships with each other and to support constant inclusion of the Ruach ha'Chodesh (Holy Spirit) in the midst of us, we encourage all members of this assembly to engage in communications with each other very often. To facilitate such communication, the following is available to you:

  • David's Taberbacle of Praise - Within this part of the site, you will find opportunities to:
    1. observe others as they are engaging in praise and worship
    2. submit your own praise and worship events to share with others
    3. post praise reports to an online bulletin board
    4. join and participate in an email listserv whose exclusive purpose is to send out words of praise to Father for the edification of the Body
    5. send and receive Praise Points which are brief statements similar to Twitter. However, instead of being thoughts about you, they are the words you want to use to bless our Heavenly Father any time throughout the day or night and to publicly thank HIm for all He does for you.
  • Bearing Each Others Burdens - This part of the site is exclusively threaded message board driven. Here you, may request prayer; report praise outcomes; and seek advice and encouragement from other members of the Body. You may also respond to prayer requests, praise reports, and requests for advice and encouragement directly inline with those postings.

  • Scripture Chat - In this part of the site, you may choose from and participate in a variety of discussions about Scripture in moderated scheduled chat rooms.

  • Our K'helah - K'helah is the Hebrew word for camp. Help us build a virtual camp by posting your online "sukkah" or temporary virtual dwelling place which is a web page about you. It is also a web page where you may receive and entertain brothers and sisters as they stop in to visit. In the wilderness, the Hebrew people camped together in their temporary dwellings. During this time, our Heavenly Father established times of feasting when they were to come together and celebrate. Deuteronomy 16:14-15, tells us to rejoice in our feasts. So, rejoice in the times when you come together in this community, and be blessed when you bring visitors to join with us in our rejoicing.
